Arial Fibre
Preparing For Fibre: Construction Outside Your Home
Council Property
-
Aerial fibre optic infrastructure to your suburb using the existing electricity poles.
-
Existing Poles: FNO’s are granted permission to use the electricity poles by the city council, to accelerate the roll-out of broadband services.
-
If applicable, Additional poles will be planted in the sidewalk to ensure the infrastructure reaches all homes in the suburb. This area belongs to the council who have given their permission for the installation.
-
The planning on the infrastructure Trenching may be required but this will be kept to a minimum.
-
No work will take place inside your property, and you do not need to be present for this stage of the roll-out.
-
Once the fibre has been rolled out in your suburb, you can order an installation into your home and take up a fibre broadband service.
